Nylon + OCC + NotWedding = Amazing
So excited to share this little post.
On its way from Sephora, at this very moment, is an exciting, little package I can't wait to get my hands on. After weeks of searching for the perfect lip color for the bride in The NotWedding (coming to you February 25th), I have finally found THE ONE.
It is a special edition color only available at Sephora that two amazing companies have collaborated on. OCC (my current guilty pleasure) and NYLON magazine have created a new lip tar called (drum roll), Nylon (shocking, I know). It is has been matched by Pantone to be the exact shade of NYLON's hot pink logo.
It is going to look so hot next to this color palette, which happens to be the inspiration board for the shindig.
I cannot wait for this event. It is going to be absolutely gorgeous, and you do not want to miss it. To get your tickets, go here.

The NotWedding
So, I announced this a few days ago VIA Facebook, but I have yet to officially announce it on my blog.
I am the official makeup artist for the NotWedding in Atlanta on February 25th ((squeals))!!!

Eeek! I am so excited. For those of you who have no idea what the heck the NotWedding is, it is a faux wedding of sorts. It's basically the coolest bridal show -ever-. You get to see the vendors in action. Brides attend this "wedding", and they get to see the ceremony space set-up, smell the flowers from the florist, see the dress with the pretty sash with the pretty shoes. It is chalk full with inspiration, and you get to be the guest for the evening. You get to dance the night away to an amazing DJ and taste delicious foods from the caterer. It is a blast, and I am so excited to be a part of the AMAZING team this year. I have sneaked a peek at the wedding color palette, and let me tell you, it is to die for. You do not want to miss this event if you are a bride to be. You can read more about the NotWedding and buy your tickets here.
Moving on.
I just ordered lots of new goodies for my kit, and I am EXCITED. Reviews will most likely follow in the next week or so as I begin working with the products and forming my opinion. Stay tuned♥

Jessica and MJ and The Photography of Haley Sheffield
Yay! Super cute engagement session posted by the amazing The Photography of Haley Sheffield.
I absolutely loved getting to work with Jessica (She is a doll!), and MJ is an old friend from high school. I am so excited for the two of you, and I can't wait for the wedding♥
Side note: Check out Jessica's lashes in these pictures. No falsies here, they are all hers! Jealous? Yeah, me too. I used my new Naked 2 palette on Jess that I was able to purchase thanks to a super thoughtful gift card that was given to me by a client.
Here are a few shots from the session! You can check out the full blog post here.

New Year, New Beginnings.
I love fresh starts, clean slates, and new years.
Being that this is my very first blog post on my brand spankin' new website, it seems appropriate to launch it on New Year's Day. I may not post regularly, or I may, it depends on what tickles my fancy. Clearly, I will focus on beauty, but I will also do personal posts because I believe people like to get to know who they are working with. Some beauty topics you can expect are product recommendations, tips and tricks, tutorials, and pretty pictures that make me happy and inspire me. I am also on a quest for health. I will talk to you more about that later in this post, but you can look forward to future posts about making your insides beautiful as well!
A little about me. I am 24 years young. I am married to an amazingly talented musician husband, and we have the sweetest, chunkiest baby boy. We currently reside in Warner Robins, Georgia. I went to school at the Makeup Designory in Burbank, California at the ripe age of 18, and I also apprenticed in an Aveda salon for many years. I have dabbled in many career paths because I enjoy many different things. I am currently enrolled to start Graphic Design courses next week, which makes me very nervous and excited all at once. I will still be doing makeup full-time, but I have a dream that is slowly starting to take form that may include me doing several different occupations simultaneously. As an adult, I am finally learning what makes me tick and what limits I have. I am excited to be getting to a place where I am doing only things I enjoy and for the right reasons.
As I said previously, I love the start of a new year. It holds so much promise and the chance for change and transformation. This year my hopes are high. I battled postpartum depression after the birth of my son, and I am just now feeling like I am gaining control over my life again six months later. I have a purpose and a plan, and I am ready for action. My husband and I are committing to a health and finance makeover this year. I have gained nearly 60 pounds since I met my husband less than two years ago (WOW). At that time, I still had about 40 pounds that I needed to shed. If you made it through elementary school, you can do that math. I have a total of 100 pounds to lose (exhales). How have I let it go this far and get this bad? It is shocking and upsetting to think about it. I am ready for change. I am ready to feel good, not just for myself, but for my son and husband. I want to run and play with my sweet boy and have the energy I need to be a good wife and mother. We plan on having another child, and that is also serious motivation for me. No way, no how, am I going through another pregnancy in this shape, and so, my journey begins. My journey isn't just about weight, but about overall wellness. I want to feel good and look good from all angles. I have a lot of personal growth to do, and my husband and I have goals to pay off debt and provide a stable home for our family. Having a child has taught me that there is no time like the present, every moment is precious. Carpe Diem. What are your plans and resolutions for this year?
Here are some fun New Year's makeovers. These were done primarily using what these ladies brought me in their makeup bags. It is so much fun to teach people how to work with what they already own! These lovely ladies are both return clients, and I love getting to spend time with them. I forgot to take before and afters of all of my New Year's ladies! Pardon the terrible lighting and image quality. I really need to invest in a camera soon ♥
I hope you all have a fabulous, wonderful New Year! Be blessed.
